Hi all,
Just a quick update as I've had quite a few people asking about the game at Lord's on the 25th July. We are close to sending the team out and it will be sent out on this coming Sunday 16th July.
This is a note just to say that we have organised (almost finalized, just chasing up some loose ends for the day) for EVERYONE who has made the team this year to come to the ground on the day.
We would like to invite players, family members etc to attend the day and make this day a special occasion for all involved. From my point of view it is a chance to celebrate everyone who has made the team this year and get together, giving us the chance to have a full squad photo, create a crowd for the game and to catch up before our busiest period for games.
We are exploring the option of selling food from behind the bar (which will be open all day) and are being asked by the ground catering team, and the security team, how many people we are expecting for the day in the ground watching the game. If you could COMMENT BELOW if you ARE planning on attending with your child's name plus how many extras i.e George Bryant + 4, that would be extremely helpful and will allow me the chance to make sure the teams around the ground are prepared for the day.
Ideally I would like to fill the stand outside the Indoor Center and create an atmosphere similar to a Hundred game or an international game. We will also be inviting the families of the ACE academy who we will be playing against to create a family friendly atmosphere for all to enjoy. If we can fill the stand and have people sat around the boundary that would be incredible, with the idea of making this a yearly event.
We are planning on spectators to be able to arrive at the same time as the meet time for the game, which will be published along with the team this coming Sunday, so please check for the official times this coming Sunday.
Please could you reply in the comments below if you are planning on attending, it would be great to see everyone on the day and create a day that we will not forget.
Thanks all,
George
