GAME OFF !!!! Lord’s Youth vs SussexU13s 7th July

Evening everyone, hope you all enjoyed the football tonight.

I’ve been exchanging texts with the Sussex coach this evening and we are going to call tomorrow’s game off. With the heavy rain over the past two days and the reported heavy rain and thunderstorms tomorrow we have decided to cancel the fixture.

With the Sussex team travelling up to 3 hours for the game tomorrow (as we would have in this same situation earlier in the summer), for a potentially washed out/reduced game of cricket, both myself and the other coach have decided, there is a very good chance it would be a wasted day for both teams.

I’m really sorry to cancel the fixture, but we will be speaking to Sussex tomorrow/Monday to rearrange both fixtures for later in the summer.
